Frank is losing patience with Janine. Melanie tries to tell Ian she can't marry him but before she can say anything, he breaks down and tells her that Lucy may have cancer.

Melanie tries to break off the engagement. Andrea returns to help with Natalie's wedding. Doctor Harvey tells Ian that Lucy will need more tests. Frank tries to get Phil and Peggy on speaking terms again. Jamie finds Phil drunk.

Peggy announces the sale of the Queen Vic. Lisa finds out that Phil has been drinking heavily. Andrea promises not to interfere with Natalie's wedding plans. Melanie feels trapped into marrying Ian.

Lucy goes into hospital for her biopsy. Peggy and Frank tell Janine that they will buy a flat in Walford when she comes to visit. Jackie and Gianni talk about buying the Queen Vic.

Phil continues to drink through the day. Troy and Irene get passionate. Melanie's unable to call things off and now both Terry and Gianni want to buy the Queen Vic.

Irene deceives Terry to spend a night with Troy. Phil has a surprise visitor. Melanie considers cancelling her wedding. Natalie's dinner party is not very successful.

Episode 155 - 1874

Natalie tries to rescue Barry from her mother's clutches. Janine gets her hooks into Jamie. Phil gets Dan as a new lodger. Pat spots Irene and Troy kissing passionately.

Ian is cross when Melanie starts working in the Vic. Irene panics when Pat finds out her secret. Natalie has a nasty shock as her wedding preparations spiral out of control.

There's heartache for the Butchers as Frank makes a horrific discovery about Janine. Irene tries to find the courage to end her dangerous affair with Troy.

Melanie is determined to enjoy her last days of freedom. Steve is on hand to help her. Amsterdam deals a bitter blow to Barry as his stag night ends in disaster.
