
The House at Christianshavn (1970)
The series follows the residents of an apartment building on Copenhagen's Christianshavn, as they go about their daily lives and challenges. There is Olsen, a mover with an old fashion view of the world, Clausen who runs the local pet shop, Egon the career focused assistant, their wives who work hard to keep their spouses lives together, the young couple Tue and Rikke who recently moved in, the hard working caretaker Meyer, who never puts in to much effort, and of course Emma, the innkeeper of Rottehullet, where all the important decisions are made while running up the bar tab. The series was produced by Nordisk Film for Danmarks Radio TV station between the years 1970-77. The series' first director was Ebbe Langberg, then Erik Balling and Tom Hedegaard respectively. The series was conceived by an author team of well-known Danish authors such Leif Panduro, Benny Andersen, and Lise Nørgaard.

Episode 1 - The bird watching trip
Release Date: 1975-04-05Meyer is acting like a cock doing mating season. This leads to a lengthy discussion about birdsong between the tenants of the house. Clausen suggest that they go on a bird watching trip. Olsen takes the role as chairman of planning, Meyer signs up to be the samaritan, and Egon will provide the liquid refreshments.

Episode 2 - Short lived joy
Release Date: 1975-04-12Egon, being very interested in international relations, is studying French and ends up falling in love with his teacher, or maybe the teacher made him interested in those relations to begin with. After having a fight, Karla kicks him out and he ends up staying with Emma in the backroom at Rottehullet.

Episode 3 - Children of summer and sunshine
Release Date: 1975-04-19Clausen, being an old scout, has received the honour of substituting for the local scouts troop leader and Olsen has won a tent in the scouts' lottery. The two set off to test out the tent and their skills on the embankment, well laden with drinks.

Episode 4 - The price of love
Release Date: 1975-04-26Meyer is in love with the graceful and well dressed Mrs. Holmberg and spends a lot of money on meeting her lifestyle. The new couple is enjoying an expensive dinner at Rottehullet, when a strange man named Freddy shows up and claims to be Mrs. Holmberg's fiancée.
