From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Edward Arnold (February 18, 1890 — April 26, 1956) was an American actor. He was born on the Lower East Side of New York City as Gunther Edward Arnold Schneider, the son of German immigrants Carl Schneider and Elizabeth Ohse.
