‘The Expanse’ Renewed for 6th and Final Season at Amazon

“The Expanse” has been renewed for a sixth and final season by Amazon Studios ahead of the sci-fi show’s fifth season premiere Dec. 16 on Prime Video, the streaming service revealed Tuesday.Season 6 of the show, which aired its first three seasons on Syfy before being rescued by Amazon after cancellation, will star returning cast members Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Frankie Adams, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cara Gee and Wes Chatham, and be led by showrunner Naren Shankar. “The Expanse” actor Cas Anvar, who was the subject of sexual misconduct investigations over the summer, will not be included in the final season.Based on the books by James S.A.
